Facing a Fear

My younger brother started the RRC Portfolio Prep class for DMD last week. Tonight, I’m sitting at the campus waiting for him to finish up.

I’m using my time constructively to work on my vector art. In public.

I’m sitting at a tall table in the atrium, working on my Surface, and people keep walking by … well, lingering as they walk by … while I work. One of things that I dread the most, is people seeing my work, before it’s finished. Especially, if I’m given an unwelcome opinion.

Fortunately, no one has spoken to me, and I haven’t had to move.

My art and my stories have always been for my eyes only in the past, and I’m slowly but surely trying to shift that thinking.

Little steps.
